Billing
At Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, we have a team of financial counselors
dedicated to working with our patients to:
- Interpret insurance coverage.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Notify the insurance company and obtain authorization for treatment.
- Investigate payment sources that might be available to you, such as Medicaid
and charity care.
- Make payment arrangements.
Current Account Information: Current Northwest Hospital patients
work with our Admitting Representatives who may update or add insurance information,
or provide information to the clinical unit where the patient is assigned. If
you think you may have difficulty paying for medical services or paying an existing
bill, contact our Admitting Department at 206-368-1780 or 206-368-1724. We’ll
evaluate your circumstances, in strictest confidence, to see if you might be
eligible for charity care.
Prior Account information: Patients who have been discharged
from the hospital or who have questions about past bills should contact Patient
Financial Services by calling or visiting their offices at the Northwest Outpatient
Medical Center (OPMC), located on 10330 Meridian Ave. North. The Patient Accounts
Billing Department phone number is 206-368-6440.
The Patient Accounts Billing Department, as well as the Cashier, is located
at OPMC. However, any Admitting Representative may accept a patient payment
at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center’s main campus if change is
not required (exact amount in cash, checks, and credit cards accepted).
