Childbirth Center

Motherhood is an incredible adventure, and your labor and delivery is just the beginning. As you begin your journey, we want you to know that our staff is here for you every step of the way. Our staff has travelled that journey with mothers and families many times before, but we recognize that each family is special and unique.

At the Northwest Hospital Childbirth Center we believe that you, your partner and your support people are the most important members of your care team. Our center was designed to support your entire birth experience and to ensure you're able to share this unforgettable experience with your family and loved-ones.

Being pregnant can be one of the most important experiences of a woman's life. Over the years, the Northwest Hospital childbirth team has shared in the excitement you and your partner are feeling, today. Along with the mounting anticipation of welcoming your new baby into the world, parents-to-be also have to synthesize a lot of new information and make preparations for their growing family. Sometimes this can feel overwhelming but don't worry; our team is here to help.

Every mother who takes a tour and chooses to give birth at the Childbirth Center will receive an informative binder. This binder is designed to prepare you for the adventure of pregnancy, labor and delivery and later, bringing your new baby home. This packet also includes a complementary six month subscription to interactive online parenting tutorials and videos, which will help answer all your questions and prepare you for the big day.

You have nine months to prepare for your baby's birth but you need to prepare for your baby's life, too. You and your partner have many decisions to make over the next coming months – choosing an obstetrician, picking out the proper crib and deciding if you are going to use cloth or disposable diapers. Another very important decision is choosing a physician who will care for your baby, and possibly the rest of your family, too.

We offer many options to prepare for your baby's birth, including the expert care of certified nurse midwives before, during and after the birth of your child. Midwives are advanced registered nurse practitioners who have completed graduate studies in nurse-midwifery and have passed a national certification exam. Visit link The Midwives Clinic to explore this option.

Whether you are looking for a family doctor, pregnancy health care or other services, our expert medical staff includes a variety of providers that will be able to help with you and your growing family's health care needs.

We're looking forward to meeting you and hearing about your family.
