Support Groups
Support groups give patients and their families an outlet for the feelings
and emotions that may emerge as health issues arise. Support groups also provide
a forum for learning from another patient's experiences or for sharing one's
own story. Northwest Hospital & Medical Center offers the following support
groups for people facing cancer.

Cancer Lifeline Programs at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center
The following support groups are offered in partnership with Cancer Lifeline. Cancer Lifeline provides a unique array of services – from support groups and classes to activities and presentations – aimed at optimizing the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors, families, and friends. Programs are free, open to the public. Groups are held in the Medical Arts Building (MAB), Room 112. Breast Cancer Networking Group
This group is for breast cancer patients, survivors and their family members or friends. The primary focus of this group is to provide professional education and the opportunity to be with other women who are surviving and thriving. If you are interested in attending this group, please call (206) 297-2500.

2nd Monday of the month from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Gynecologic Cancer Support Group
This group is for patients with ovarian, uterine, cervical or any other type of gynecologic cancer. The meetings provide an opportunity to share your experience with other women living with similar challenges. The group will provide support to help participants express emotions and thoughts that come up in the cancer experiencs. If you are interested in attending this group, please call (206) 297-2500.

Living With Cancer Support Group
This group isfor patients and survivors with all types of cancer, their family members and friends.
