THE NORTHWEST HOSPITAL BARIATRIC SURGERY PROGRAM
The Northwest Hospital Bariatric Surgery Program is one of only a few programs
in the Pacific Northwest that specializes in Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass surgery and LapBand surgery. There are many benefits to the
minimally-invasive laparoscopic technique, including: shorter hospital stay;
faster return to work and activity; greater postoperative comfort; and less
visible scarring.
The Bariatric Surgery Program offers a comprehensive and personalized approach.
In order to help ensure the success of our patients we offer a
multi-disciplinary weight-loss program, which includes nutritional, emotional and exercise counseling.
Our highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team is led by renowned bariatric
surgeon and Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Chebli. The team also includes:
nutritional services; physical therapy; behavioral/cognitive therapy; a
clinical nurse specialist. Other clinicians from a variety of areas are consulted to
appropriately address the specific needs of bariatric patients.
Northwest Hospital & Medical Center is prepared to address the clinical
