Dr. Dan Downey is Section Head of Plastic Surgery at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Downey graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Dan was Section Head of Plastic Surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle where he practiced for sixteen years before opening Downey Plastic Surgery in 2006.
He has served as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
He has achieved board certification by both the American Board of Plastic Surgeons & the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, which indicates that he has met the highest level of requirements for practicing Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was inducted into the American Association of Plastic Surgeons in 2006, a select organization represented by the leaders in the Plastic Surgery specialty.
Dr. Downey consistently ranks as one of the Pacific Northwest's top doctors by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine and was chosen by his peers as an Outstanding Plastic Surgeon in Puget Sound Consumer's Checkbook. His most notable award was "Outstanding Contributions in Plastic Surgery", presented to him by the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons.
