Dr. Brakstad is a board-certified pediatrician and general surgeon. He earned his medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, followed by residencies in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in general surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Brakstad is a member of the American Medical Association, the Washington State Medical Association, the King County Medical Society and the Seattle Surgical Society. His special interests include general surgery, laparoscopic surgery and breast surgery. Outside of his practice, Dr. Brakstad enjoys fishing, sports and spending time with his family.
