Dr. Overman received his medical degree from the University of Alabama Medical School in Birmingham, before coming to the University of Washington in Seattle for his residency and chief residency in internal medicine, fellowships in rheumatology and Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars programs, and a master's degree in public health. He coauthored, "You Don't LOOK Sick! Living Well With Invisible Chronic Illness". He practices general rheumatology with interests in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and back and generalized pain syndromes. He rides his bike to work and enjoys active hobbies with his wife and three grown sons.
