Manage Your Health

Medical/dental/vision coverage is available to employees who work at least 24 hours per week. Part- time employees who work less than 24 hours a week may be eligible to purchase coverage. Medical Our medical plans offer a variety of healthcare options through the First Choice Health Network. Employees can choose from three different plans based on their own health needs and the needs oftheir eligible family members. In most plans, annual deductibles are waived for preventive care and prescriptions drugs. Dental Our plan, provided through Washington Dental Service (WDS), offers preventive, basic and major restorative coverage. In addition, employees have the option to purchase orthodontia coverage. Vision Available through the Vision Service Plan (VSP), employees can receive coverage for routine exams, prescription lenses and frames. Healthcare Flexible Spending Account This pre-tax opportunity allows employees to set aside money from their paychecks to help cover the cost of medical expenses such as co-pays, over-the-counter medications and deductibles. Employees scheduled to work at least 16 hours per week are eligible to enroll.


Build Your Wealth

Retirement Savings Plan 401(k) and 403(b) Our retirement plan is designed to help you plan for the future and build financial security. Various investment options are available so you can create a customized plan based on your age and retirement goals. Starting the first day of employment all employees can enroll. After six months of employment, employees are eligible to receive a generous employer match which starts the following January or July. Dependent Care (Daycare and Eldercare) Flexible Spending Account In addition to the Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, employees can set aside money on a pre-tax basis to cover qualifying daycare and eldercare expenses they may incur while at work. Employees scheduled to work at least 16 hours per week are eligible to enroll.


Protect Your Future

Life Insurance This benefit provides financial security to your family members in the event of your death. Our term insurance plan allows employees who work at least 24 hours per week to receive coverage for 1.5 times their base salary at no cost. Additional coverage up to 3 or 4 times base salary and dependent options are also available to purchase. Employees who work 16-23 hours per week may also elect to purchase coverage. Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance If the amount of accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided under the life insurance plan is insufficient to meet your needs, a voluntary accidental death and dismemberment plan is available. Coverage is provided for yourself, or for both you and your family. Employees who work 16 or more hours per week are eligible to purchase this extra coverage. Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance Program LTD coverage allows employees to receive a percentage of income while away from work for an extended period due to a qualifying disability. Employees scheduled to work at least 24 hours per week are provided LTD coverage at 40% at no cost with the option to purchase additional coverage. Employees who work 16-23 hours per week may also elect to purchase coverage. Voluntary Short Term Disability Short Term Disability coverage allows employees to receive a percentage of pay while temporarily away from work for a qualifying disability. Employees who work 16 or more hours per week are eligible to purchase coverage.

Paid Time Off Whether it’s spending time with family or taking time for yourself we feel it’s important to offer a generous paid time off package that can accommodate your personal needs. Employees accrue both vacation and sick time based on hours worked and years of service. On-Site Childcare On-site childcare provides convenience and the peace of mind of knowing your child is in good hands. The Northwest Child Care Center provides a curriculum that fosters developmentally appropriate practices in a warm and nurturing environment. On-Site Fitness Center Our Cardiac Fitness Center allows employees to stay in shape and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Membership includes use of cardiovascular equipment, weight machines and exercise classes, conveniently located right on campus. As an incentive for employees to stay active and motivated, monthly membership is free if you use the facility at least eight times per month. Transportation Options We want your commute to be as easy and affordable as possible. Flexible transportation options include a free ORCA pass for bus, train or ferry, carpooling and Rideshare options. For those who prefer biking to work, bicycle storage space is available in our covered parking garage. Employee Assistance Programs We understand that employees and their families face a variety of challenges in maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Our Employee Assistance and Helping Hands programs are available to assist you during times of personal challenge or financial difficulty. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program For another way to keep healthy, you can join the CSA program and have fresh organic produce conveniently delivered for pick-up on right on campus each week.
