Northwest Hospital Foundation
A
Northwest Hospital & Medical Center patient survives a heart attack and
is grateful. Another patient, diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, is impressed
with her treatment and recovery at Northwest, and wants to give. An out-of-state
man reads about Northwest Hospital’s groundbreaking surgery in prostate
cancer and decides to support the program, even though he’s never been
a patient, let alone seen Northwest Hospital. Businesses and organizations offer
to donate as well.
All want to help. All want to give. But how?
As a not-for-profit facility, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center’s
mission is to serve by providing excellent patient-centered care for those in
our community, rather than making a profit for a distant parent company or stockholders.
To that end, Northwest Hospital has created a philanthropic foundation to work
with individuals and organizations who want to help provide funds for the best
health care possible, including emergency care, cardiology, cancer care, neurology,
childbirth, and rehabilitation, to name a few. These donations help fund equipment,
research, and also provide charity support to those who can’t afford to
pay for their medical treatments.
