Stroke Awareness Event

This free stroke awareness event features two presentations: “How to Prevent a Stroke: Know Your Risk Factors,” with Dr. Marc Kirschner, a neurologist, from 3:15 to 3:40 p.m., and “Don’t Wait, Call 9-1-1,” with Shoreline paramedics, from 3:40 to 4 p.m. A stroke survivor guest panel follows at 4 p.m. Activities include free blood pressure checks, blood glucose monitoring, stroke risk assessment, medication safety and the expertise of physical, occupational and speech therapists.
